Competency profiling normally focuses on attributes for effective or superior performance of individuals. Sapien allows you to look not only at the skills and competencies of individuals, but also the skills and requirements for any given job. By matching people to positions, you can see development requirements clearly.
Building a competency based organization is critical to effectively benchmark and measure Talent Management initiatives. Sapien’s Competency Management functionality includes the maintenance of competency profiles for people, positions and entities with graphical comparisons of competencies for target positions, Gap Analysis to highlight and link development needs, and 'best fit' competency analysis to support selection. Tools are available to assess trends and developments in competency levels over time and via Multi-Rater relationships.
Management can ensure the talent pool is aligned with core competencies and manage competency inventories. Using similar functionality, Skills ranging from core, essential, position, entity and project requirements can be tracked, analyzed and reported against to staff projects and enterprise objectives. Certifications, accreditations, language skills, project experience, etc. can also be tracked. All Competency, Skills, and related information are fully integrated into all other Sapien HCM modular functionally.
